El Instituto Cultural Español de Dublín propone el hermanamiento de Galway con una ciudad española
 How is it Galway is not twinned with a comparable Spanish City? So often we refer to our Spanish trade connections of long ago; young people holiday in Spain yet surprisingly there are no modern day cultural links. In Galway this week was the director of the Spanish Cultural Institute, Antonio Sierra. He has been living in Ireland for 15 years; and this week in his efforts to bring a bit of Spain back to west presented books and slides to the R.T.C., accompanied the Spanish Ambassador to open an exhibition of remarkable drawings by the Catalan Architect Gaudi, at the U.C.G. Gallery, and gave books to the County Library. The Gallic connection with Spain is culturally strong; certainly as obvious as in Britanny (far more so than in St. Louis !) and Spanish towns are eager to twin with Irish centres. Especially now as Spain is to join the E.E.C. and to find Gallic roots in Europe. Galway is and obvious choice for a Spanish "twin"... any offers?..Leer más
OS FURAFOLES, Música celta de Galicia y Asturias. Ciclo de música celta - VELMA CAFÉ
 Es un grupo de jóvenes consagrados, que interpretan la música tradicional de Galicia y Asturias, no sólo en su estado puro sino también buscando la esencia en lo tradicional dándole un corte más folk con la incorporación de nuevos instrumentos.
Algunas de sus presentaciones más importantes tuvieron lugar en La Trastienda , Auditorio de Belgrano, Feria del Libro, Teatro Opera, Auditorium de Mar del Plata, entre otros, y también junto a músicos y grupos como Carlos Núñez, Luar na lubre, Susana Seivane y León Gieco.

 The creation and protection of jobs remains a key priority of Government economic policy. In these difficult times, we must keep moving forward and stimulate jobs. Despite our severely constrained budgetary position, the Government is committed to investing in physical and human capital and, although public investment spending is being reduced next year, it will still be €6.4 billion or 5 per cent of GNP for 2010 and €5.5 billion each year for the years 2011 to 2016. That will enable the Irish economy to take full advantage of the global recovery.  El Instituto Cultural Español de Dublin, actual Cervantes, fue inaugurado el 11 de febrero de 1974. Desde el inicio de sus actividades en 1972, teniendo en cuenta sus relaciones históricas, dió prioridad al fomento de las relaciones de Irlanda con Galicia.
